The KPJ Trust is working to promote and support local organizations in Mysore who are working for the public good and societal benefit. The mission is to aid and organize charitable activities that help the aged, disabled, down trodden, and physically and/or mentally challenged by providing required support, education, training and rehabilitation programs, with the goal to make them self-sustaining. Waioli Voyaging SocietyThis video takes you alongside Robert Pa and the Waioli Voyaging society in Kauai. Their vision is to bring back the lost art of Traditional canoe carving and sailing. Over the last eight years the Waioli Voyaging Society has carved a single canoe and a beautiful Va'a outrigger, all traditional style. Now, their goal is to build a 40 foot double-hull voyaging canoe all by hand, no power tools. In the process they will be teaching the youth how to carve, sail, and work with traditional canoes.
