Helping Amplify Voices: Welcome the Obesity Action Coalition to the C4B Family
We’re thrilled to announce that Change for Balance is now partnering with the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals affected by obesity through education, advocacy, and support.
OAC’s work is rooted in science, compassion, and community. Their mission is simple yet powerful: engage, educate, and empower people to take control of their health while breaking down the stigma that often surrounds the disease of obesity.
Over the coming months, we’ll be working with OAC to:
- Support their national and regional events
- Strengthen messaging to reach broader audiences
- Amplify their advocacy efforts and community voice
Spotlight: Your Weight Matters 2025 National Convention
One of OAC’s flagship events, the Your Weight Matters (YWM) National Convention, took place in July 2025. Attendees from across the country gathered for three days of science-based education, practical tools, and meaningful connections.
OAC’s CEO, Joe Nadglowski, shared:
"Our goal with every event, national or regional, is to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and empowered. Partnering with Change for Balance helps us amplify that message and reach even more communities."
C4B was honored to support OAC in amplifying the convention’s impact, ensuring that its messages and insights reached beyond the attendees to inspire broader change.
Engaging Communities Regionally: Your Weight Matters Regional
While national gatherings are powerful, regional events bring the same energy and education closer to local communities. OAC’s Your Weight Matters Regional program hosts free, 4‑hour events featuring expert speakers in weight management, nutrition, and mental health.
We’re working with OAC on these regional events, helping with content, outreach, and community engagement, to broaden their reach and ensure that more people have access to supportive, evidence-based resources.
We’re excited to support OAC’s mission and help more people feel seen, heard, and empowered in their health journeys.
